Fernando Huergo


Fernando Huergo was born in Cordoba, Argentina.

Has recorded over 80 albums, including 8 as leader.

Fernando has toured in North, Central and South America, Europe and Asia.

He has performed with the bands of Danilo Perez, Guillermo Klein, Luciana Souza, Hendrick Meurkens, Victor Mendoza, Dave Liebman, Dave Samuels, Joe Beck, Marta Gomez, Los Changos, Pablo Ablanedo, Katie Viqueira, El Eco, Mark Shilansky, Fernando Tarres, The Jinga Quintet, Edu Tancredi, Gilson Schachnick, Fernando Brandao, Teresa Ines, Humberto Ramirez, Eguie Castrillo, Tony Lujan and many others.

Has performed with great musicians like Tom Harrell, Dave Liebman, Billy Pierce, George Garzone, Jerry Bergonzi, Dave Kikoski, Rick Margitza, Kenny Werner, Danilo Perez, David Sanchez, Don Braden, Claudio Roditi, Mike Stern, Dave Weckl, Giovanni Hidalgo,
Horacio Hernandez, Richie Flores, Paulo Braga, Romero Lubambo and Portinho.

He has given clinics in Argentina, Costa Rica, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, Portugal, England, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Turkey, Japan and in many cities in the United States.

He studied with Charlie Banacos, Jerry Bergonzi, Cecil McBee, John Lockwood and George Rusell among others.

Fernando graduated from Berklee College of Music in 1992, where he is a Faculty Member in the Bass Department since 1996, with the position of Associate Professor. He also teaches at Tufts University since 2001.


Harvey Wirht


Harvey Wirht based in Brooklyn NY, part of a new generation of drummers with a musical language steeped in the traditional rhythms of the world such as Kaseko, Kawina, Jazz, Gnawa, Bikutsi, Calypso, and Songo. His playing has been described as “effortless syncopated grooving”, “powerful drums”, “organic cooking along a hot simmer”, and an “original and expressive voice”. He has played on over 30 albums and is currently touring with 4 time Grammy nominee Angelique Kidjo.

Harvey B. Wirht was born and raised in Suriname, South America’s multi-cultural paradise. It was there that he started his drum studies at the Suriname Public Music Academy (VMS).
After paying his dues Harvey was offered and seized the opportunity to study in the USA at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He studied under John Ramsey, Joe Hunt, the late Alan Dawson and drum guru Lenny Nelson.

Massachusetts presented Harvey with great musical opportunities such as performing and or touring with the Rainbow band directed by Phil Wilson, A-NO-Ne and the the A-NO-Ne Bigband, the Teresa Ines bigband and small group, the Either Orchestra, Sunsteel, Culture Jam, Rumba Africa, Steel Vibes, Dan Moretti and Rebecca Paris, The Issi Rozen Quintet, the Gilad Barkan Trio, Eric Wainaina, Fareed Haque with Oscar stagnaro and Rick Peckham; Joanne Brakheem with Billy Pierce and Ira Coleman; the John Tchicai quintet with Charlie Colhase, Dave Bryant and John Turner ; David Murray and FraFra sound.

With NY as his New base, Wirht continues to expand his rhythm vocabulary by performing with global artists such as:
Gino Sitson, Martino Atangana, Malika Zarra, Hassan Hakmoun, KJ Dehert, Azouhouni Adhou, Christos Rafalides, John Benitez and now the Benin born Angelique Kidjo.
